So, I wrote a book…
Or, more to the point, I compiled a book. It’s a book about Jocassee. Over thirteen years I’ve written about the nature of Jocassee every week, featuring different beings who live here: loons, Oconee bells, millipedes, Great blue herons. I’ve written about events that continue to shape this remarkable place: lightning storms, drought, hurricanes, ice storms. Jocassee has taken on a personality for so many of us, as muse, as healer, as a keeper of secrets. As a place of wonder, and mystery. Jocassee, as both inspiration and solace. I’ve included all of this within the pages of this book, and if the words don’t pull you in, maybe the photos will. The book is for sale, so consider this my one shameless plug. It is, if I do say so, a wonderful gift for anyone who has fallen in love with this beautiful lake that flows gently around the curves of these beautiful mountains. You can buy it here. ~K
