I heard about this goose before I made his (her?) acquaintance. I heard he was acting kind of crazy, flying at boats like a ninja. Maybe chasing people away from a nearby nest? When I saw him for myself, paddling through the water with those big webbed feet, following our pontoon, he looked… lonely. Or maybe hungry? Looking for a handout? Maybe someone’s pet, released to the wild? Hard to say. If you encounter this goose on Lake Jocassee, he won’t hurt you, but he might scare you when he flies after your boat! ~K
