Sand, salt, wind, waves. Humans all over the globe seek these places where, out on the long, flat horizon, sky kisses water. At the edge of the sea we are all the same… spiritual, fragile, vulnerable, seeking peace, seeking tranquility. At the edge of the sea, where mountains have turned into sand, we are broken, smoothed, polished, and reformed, just like the rock. Humans all over the globe stand by the sea at very nearly the same altitude – sea level – and have very nearly identical experience with sand, salt, wind, and waves. Then we do our very best to carry that peace and tranquility home. ~K
