Listed are some of the most frequently asked questions.
1. What type of boats do you use?
We have 24' pontoon boats with double bimini tops.
2. Are there restrooms on board?
Restroom facilities are available at the Ranger Station and the picnic/Day use Facility. There are no restroom facilities aboard our pontoons. We do offer "nature breaks" during the tour, upon request.
3. Are dogs allowed?
Dogs under 20lbs are allowed on the public tour, they must remain in your lap during the tour. If you are on a private tour, you may bring any size dog.
4. What kind of coolers can we bring?
Small personal coolers that fit under your legs/feet are acceptable on a public tour. If you are on a private tour, you may bring any size cooler.
5. How many people are on the boat?
Public or private tours may have capacity of up to 12 ppl.
6. Can we swim?
Absolutley, during warm season tours!
7. Will we see all the waterfalls?
For 2, 3 and 4 hours tours you will see at least 2 or 3 major waterfalls. We do have a "All the Falls Tour" once a month.
8. Can we bring adult beverages?
Yes.
9. What time should we arrive?
Weekday's 30 minutes early. Weekends 45 minutes early.
10. Where should we park.
Weekdays at the picnic area and weekends in our private lot. Check your confirmation for detailed parking.
11. Is there a Devils Fork State park entry fee when taking a tour?
Yes. Devils Fork State Park entry fee
Pay $8 per adult 16-64, $5 for seniors 65+, $4 for children 6-15 and 5 and under are free.

13. What is the inclement weather policy?
IF JOCASSEE LAKE TOURS HAS TO CANCEL DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, WE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY TEXT & EMAIL. THE CUTOFF TIME IS 7:00 AM FOR MORNING TOURS AND 12:00 NOON FOR THE AFTERNOON TOURS. IF YOU HAVE MADE YOUR RESERVATION ONLINE OR CALLED IN TO BOOK, YOU MAY RESCHEDULE, OR WE WILL GIVE YOU A REFUND OR GIFT CARD. LET US KNOW WHICH YOU PREFER.
14. What is the cancellation policy?
• 72 hours or more prior to scheduled tour time will be issued an immediate refund.
• 48 to 72 prior to scheduled tour time will be charged in full, but issued a gift certificate (valid for 1 year).
• 24 to 48 hours prior to scheduled tour time, will be charged half the price of the tour, the other half issued on a gift certificate (valid for 1 year)
• 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour will be charged in full.
• If the tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, a refund or gift certificate will be issued. Please let us know your preference.
• Jocassee Lake Tours reserves the right to CANCEL if less than 6 people are booked, or in case of inclement weather.
