Sharon grew up playing in the woods and wetlands of Pennsylvania which helped foster her love of nature, the environment, and all things outdoors. Sharon attended Clemson University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries and Wildlife Biology with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy. She also received her Master Naturalist certification in 2019. Sharon is passionate about water quality, watershed health, and flora/fauna relationships in the ecosystem. In her free time, Sharon can be found traveling, running, and enjoying nature. She has two dogs and enjoys camping and exploring with them. In addition to being an avid National Park fan, visiting multiple parks each year, Sharon is an avid hiker and backpacker and is section hiking the AT in her free time. She has hiked Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon (twice!) and is scheduled to hike the 105 mile Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Italy and Switzerland in the fall. Always eager to share the magic of the Gorges, Sharon loves to help others learn about the plants and animals that call these mountains home.
