Goldenrod, black-eyed Susans, silver leaf aster, and sunflower

YELLOW

Goldenrod, black-eyed Susans, silver-leaf asters, and sunflower are all blooming in a profusion of golden yellow monotone. Ditches along country roadsides at the base of the Blue Wall are dominated by the color yellow. The tall flowers wave to passing traffic, “Hi there, thanks for coming, see you later.” The occasional insect loiters, browsing for nectar among tiny florets, but insects seem scarce these days, even if the flowers do not.~K
