I’m watching this person walk her dog. The dog strains against a leash, eager to cover ground, but this person is in no particular hurry, barely making progress down the shady lane. Head back, she gazes up into fall-colored treetops, mouth slightly open, transfixed by… what? Clouds? Birds? Leaves? She cocks her head slightly, listening to something unseen. The dog insists she move along, but only a few steps further she stops by a large shrub, picks off several somethings, and deposits whatever-they-are into her pockets. Dog obliges by investigating scents, bouncing happily along the length of the leash when any forward movement is accomplished. A little further along this person squats and peers at something on the ground. What’s wrong with this person? Is she daft? There’s a great big smile on her face. Frankly, I’m getting a little concerned. She doesn’t look dangerous, but she acts so odd! Oh, wait… that’s just me. I’m just watching myself! ~K
