Not that I ever doubted it.
After reading over the last two weeks that smoke shops, liquor stores and ‘adult’ stores were deemed essential, we applied to the governor’s office to reopen our business. Not two hours llater we were ok’ed to resume our work. Our plan is this: we’ll resume our tours on May 1, conservatively, safely and within the suggested CDC guidelines. We’re thrilled, as you might imagine. Thrilled to see the mountain laurel, gorges rhododendron and flowering trees whose bloom time is underway, thrilled to see the lingering loons that may still be with us, thrilled to see what ephemeral spring flowers are showing off, thrilled to seek new nests for the rough-winged swallows, and thrilled beyond description to go see how our newest eaglet(s) are doing! I hope you’ll join us. There is no better time to be on Jocassee than right now. ~B
