Nature is one of God's beautiful creations. Through nature, God is able to teach us, speak to us, and provide for us. For this reason, we can find in scripture that we humans are called to protect all which He has created.

Psalm 147:8 “Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.”

Jocasee Lake Tours offers several outings great for youth groups.  What is better than getting youth outside in nature for not only a wholesome experience, but a fun and interactive one with all that nature has to offer.  Lake Jocassee is a playground for the youth. Kayaking, hiking, swimming, adventure, mountains and waterfalls await in this creation.

KAYAKING TOURS

Whether you've kayaked before or this is your first time. Our certified kayak instructors will be with you every step of the way. You will enjoy a relaxed pontoon ride traveling to you kayak destination. We will visit some of our favorite wild and remote places around the lake, then guide a naturalist-led paddling exploration of all the waterfalls, quiet coves, remote beaches and beautiful swimming spots in the area.  Learn about wildflowers, bird life, geology, and the history of Lake Jocassee while enjoying your day on the water.  Our kayak tours are designed to be easy on the body and nourishing to the spirit.

Job 12: 7 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; 8: or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.

ADVENTURE TOURS

This exhilarating outdoor adventure is right here, right in our back yard. We'll leave the boat at the entrance to Lake Jocassee's wildest rivers and creeks and head upstream on foot. The wildest, most awesome places within the Jocassee Gorges are reachable, and only reachable, by boat on Lake Jocassee. Join us to explore the remote reaches of Whitewater River and Falls, Wright Creek Falls, Thompson River and Falls, Horsepasture River, Laurel Fork Falls, Toxaway River, and Sky Falls. We can’t get to all these places in one day, of course, so we offer both lower lake and upper lake outings. Wild River Adventure Tours are warm weather, in-and-out of the water activities, as we creek hike our way into some of the most remote places in this part of the world. It’s a physical (and thrilling!) day. This adventure is great for ages teen and young adults.
