EDGY WEATHER-QUIET TIMES.

The sun has been on summer vacation this week. Resting up for Eclipse Day, we all hope in this part of the world. It’s been a week of cloudy skies and stormy weather, keeping most of the power boat world at home. Such times leave us and our intrepid guests as nearly the only people on the lake. Just right, in my opinion. Lake Jocassee and the Jocassee Gorges are at their moody, brooding, boisterous best at times like this. Half the lake covered in rain, the other half bone dry.  Flooding rivers and creeks, beaches isolated and alone, rumbling clouds hanging just above the surface of the lake. It’s been a dreamy week for weather loving reclusive types, who don’t mind having this exotic inland sea all to themselves.
