‍Cool things happen when you meet fellow naturalists. So often on our tours, most everyone who comes out with us has some interest in nature and the beauty of this place. However, once in a while you get a chance to briefly connect with kindred spirits. This past week, I met just such a couple. Jack is a retired Clemson extension agent. After retiring, he and his wife, Libby, became naturalist volunteers at several State and National Parks. Through those years, this allowed them numerous opportunities to witness Nature in all her glory. While sharing one of my favorite magical memories of watching loons leaving the lake this past spring during spring migration, this sweet couple shared one of their equally magical experiences watching Sandhill Cranes in Arizona. Click the link below to learn some things you might not have known about Sandhill Cranes! Also, keep an eye on our events calendar. Spring is close. ~Sheryl White, Naturalist guide with JLT
