JOCASSEE WILD CHILD OUTDOOR ADVENTURES!
Jocassee Wild Child Adventures bring local students into the Jocassee Gorges – by way of Lake Jocassee – to experience classroom curriculum in a real-world setting. The unique outdoor classroom of the Jocassee Gorges allows children to interact with their outdoor environment while they learn about the history of ancient cultures who lived here, climate and weather, how the unique lay of these mountains makes the Jocassee Gorges a temperate rainforest, and habitats and adaptations of the plant and animal species who live here.
JOCASSEE ADVENTURE CAMP ~ A FUN FILLED DAY FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!
The mission of JAC! is to provide a day of adventure and discovery around Lake Jocassee, giving children, parents, and grandparents a day to remember. While this nature camp is child-focused there is plenty which will engage the inner child in all of us, regardless of age. The theme of the day camp is FUN, and that fun revolves around water. Children (of all ages!) will have an engaging, hands-on experience with watersheds, water quality, and the web of life that depends on clean, fresh water!
