As usual, most days this week were divine. No intense heat or major weather and the water temperature was perfectly refreshing. We watched double crested cormorants, (which have less preen oil than other waterfowl), air drying their wings on the floating barrier by the hydro intakes, a healthy water snake in Laurel Fork, yawning and rubbing its jaw on the rock, possibly trying to realign the lower jaw back into place after eating something large. Abundant summer azures flitting around, delighting guests by landing on them. These little butterflies love the minerals from your skin or moisture from your wet clothes. Hearing the expressions and seeing the smiles that come with each new discovery or experience someone has out here is such a rewarding feeling. JLT guides often get told ?You have a great job?! We do! We LOVE our office!! Thanks for coming and letting us share our workspace with you. Boats leave at 10:00. Bring a friend and don?t be late ~ Sheryl
